Optical Women’s Association to Host OWA Global Event at 100% Optical
LONDON—The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) has announced that it is expanding its international reach with a dedicated OWA Global Event at 100% Optical, the U.K.’s leading annual event for optical professionals, set to take place here February 28 through March 2. The OWA’s international expansion initiatives aim to create even more opportunities for women across the optical industry to connect, grow and thrive, the organization said in a statement. “Owning Your Path – Leadership & Resilience” will take place on Saturday, February 28, from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. at the 100% Catwalk within 100% Optical.
Sponsored by 100% Optical, the event will open with remarks from Nancy Gries, chair of the OWA international expansion committee. Dr. Pretty Basra will then facilitate a panel discussion with Dr. Caroline Casey, global diversity, equity & inclusion board member at L'Oréal, president of the international agency for the Prevention of Blindness, and diversity advisory council member to Sky; Jayne Abel, co-founder and CEO of Eyespace; and Dame Mary Perkins, co-founder of Specsavers in 1984, a pioneering leader whose impact on the optical industry continues to inspire women globally, the OWA said. In addition, the event will include time for networking, connection and celebration.
This is the OWA’s second Global Event of 2026, following “Leading with Courage: Inspiring Stories of Authenticity,” a panel and networking event held at Mido in early February.
The OWA advised that space for this event is limited and advance registration is recommended.
